We stayed in the Chalet for 5 nights. It was beautiful with plenty of space to spread out. The bed was medium-firm density and so so comfortable. The view from the balcony was lovely and it was a peaceful place to spend lazy mornings. We had a motorbike so the 10-15 minute trip into Chiang Rai centre and around to various other places in Chiang Rai province wasn’t a problem for us. We were given some great restaurant tips and ideas for how to spend our time in the region. We also loved that there was no TV in the room. This is the first place that offered a stainless steel bottle of water that could be refilled rather than all the single use plastic bottles usually supplied by hotels. Great job guys!

This was an excellent place to stay after spending a few days in Bangkok. Set in the countryside surrounded by nature and overlooking paddy fields. The homestay had a really chill vibe about it. The rooms (we had the chalet and the luxury loft) were spotless and really spacious and both had a really big verandah. Breakfast was extra but really good value (the smoothies were really good). Beds comfortable. Bit worried with it being out of town but really easy to get Grab taxis to the centre of Chiang Rai and the Big Buddah. Bicycles on site can get you to the Ban Damn Museum and out into the countryside.

This is our second time visiting the Bambuh Boutique Homestay and it will not be our last. Ya and Mark have created a very special place where we feel in complete harmony with life. The architecture, with elements of Thai life and history, blends with and is balanced by the surrounding gardens and they have created a unique space allowing for a sense of peace and tranquility. The birdsong and rooster calls add to this sense of peace and relaxation. And, our hosts are simply lovely people. This is our very special place and we feel so lucky to have found the tranquility that Bambuh represents. We hope you have the opportunity to experience this special place in your lifetime.

The whole place is tranquil and very pretty. The room has been decorated really nice and has the facilities you need. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast menu they have on offer is perfect. if you’re a coffee lover - you got to try their coffee! It’s in walking distance approx (20/25mins) to Baan Dam Museum. If you want some peace and tranquility I recommend staying here.

Great place, everything exactly like in the photos, perhaps even better. In one of the reviews, someone said something about a hard bed but that didn't turn out to be the case at all. I slept like a rock. Very friendly owners. I spoke with them a lot. Will come back during a greener season for sure. The jungle comes to life at night. I didn't even do that much. Simply staying there is an experience.

I ended up staying with Kallaya and Mark for 6 weeks. It was such a lovely place to rest more deeply. I'm travelling with a health issue and so was looking for somewhere quiet and calm in a beautiful location, and Bambuh Boutique was exactly the right place for me. The owners, as well as Foo, looked after me so well and were always happy to pick things up for me, support any dietary requests I had, or give me a lift. They also connected me to a local restaurant (Give Green Farm House Restaurant) so I could have fresh organic food delivered whenever Kallaya wasn't cooking lovely food herself. The gardens are well tended, lush and absolutely teeming with birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a quiet and soothing stay somewhere close to nature.

We were lucky to find this little gem at only 10 km from Chiang Rai's downtown area. We enjoyed the little forest the owners created over the years. The Black House Museum is at walking distance. It's a great base to explore the beautiful Thai countryside and local lifestyle (free and rental bikes). It's also conveniently located as all Chiang Rai's spots to visit are outside town anyway. We will definitely be back.

There's a lot of things we liked so I'll list them: Owners have created a slice of paradise The food was excellent The atmosphere was outstanding There was a quiet sophistication about the homestay. The dog added to an already great experience. The beds were very comfy. Convenient location for supermarkets, the white temple, walking street etc. We honestly liked everything, I would highly recommend this place if you're seeking good food, relaxation, a friendly atmosphere and extremely welcoming hosts. Well done Mark and Kallaya, just brilliant!

Gorgeous property - perfect if you are looking for something more relaxing and immersed in nature. So many areas to sit and relax! The room itself was also comfortable! The owners were kind and helpful - they helped organize a driver for a day trip to Mae Salong and one for an early morning trip to the bus station. The home cooked dinners were fantastic as was the breakfast.
